I finally got around to this project I’ve been wanting to do for a while & thought I’d share with y’all. I’ve had a bunch of my dad’s old lake maps in safe keeping. I took the oldest and most distressed, ranging in years from 1970-1986 & had them laminated to put on display in my garage. Thought it was a cool way to keep and honor his memory.

That's really cool, my buddy has some of his dad's maps from back in the 70 and 80's. I might suggest the same thing.

Great memories, just looking at your list I went to many of those lakes with him learning how to catch the big ones.

I never made it to Guerrero, Livingston or Millwood but have been on all the others a time or two.

Thanks for sharing. Your dad fished lots of good bass lakes.

Nicely done.

I have a bunch of maps also. I have a map of Ocala national forest lakes in Florida from the early 70's.

Way to go, a good way to honor your pop and preserve memories.

That’s nice man! I bet your dad was a hell of an angler judging by the maps he had. My dad was a catfish guy. So he never got into going to a bunch of different lakes. He did get me into fishing though, and for that I will always have him to thank.

Sucks when their gone. I miss my dad. My brother in law wound up with all his fishing gear, as my dad died when I was young. At the age I was, I was not really chasing fish, I was into muscle cars and racing and stuff like that.
