I am going to get the boat ready at the ramp, leave my high beams on, and eat my chili with beans at the ramp. .and just enjoy the morning!

Not it's not, Jay. Been going on for years in big tournaments. If someone gets hit by a boat that has been dumped, they're the douche.

I agree. I doubt JayC even owns a fishing pole.
bet he owns a fishing jersey
eeks

Bet you he doesnt. Did you ever get those wires hid in your trailer house? Your buddy was counting on you to find a solution to help him out. You may want to brush up on using the quote feature too.

probably a good indication into what percentage of the contributors to the board have fished larger tournaments versus club tournament/no tournament fishermen....if you've seen how many guys do this at large tournaments,it's obvious what a time saver it is,how much it's appreciated and how rare it is for one boat to even bump another...

Im neutral on it now that Ive heard both sides and I think everyone said there really isnt much of a danger of doing damage.

Im not sure I would do it, but I also dont fish tournaments and I still dont have a boat.

I hit my spot lock half way down the ramp. Once I drop the boat it just keeps trying to come back.

So I mentioned on the bbc thread that I have never seen it done, but I dont fish many tournaments either. Lets say the ramp is 3-5 lanes wide, what makes this boat actually float out of the way? Seems like it would turn sideways and block all the ramps, kind of just sitting there bobbing.

Or is it something where you go forwards and backwards until the bow roller pushes it backwards? And if 30 guys did this, how would there be room for anyone to even launch? Seems like it would be a cluster f.

Back it in the water and hit the brakes so it has enough momentum to float out of the way. Go park truck. Get a ride to your boat. Move out of the way. It's all very quick and easy.

I see that happening if its only prearranged and everyone understands what is gong to happen. I see the advantage in it. Other than that, on a normal day and it floats dangerously by me. "F" um. He can swim.
