Just saw a pretty cool video of Zack Birge.

Even though he was sitting in 18th place, close to the cut line, he stopped in the middle of the tournament to tow a stranded boater to the ramp. Wasnt too far, but its still a stand up thing to do. Never really heard of him personally, but Ill be pulling for him now.

Ill post a link if I see the video somewhere other than Instagram.

I was watching it live when he did it.

A little while later he was up to 4th before dropping some.

I was hoping to see him make the cut today but he didn't. fish

I've known Zack for about 10 years, and that doesn't surprise me at all out of him, he's a great fisherman, and an even better guy. You don't see to many stand up kinda people like him anymore.

I ran into quite a few of the anglers over the past couple of weeks (I live on the water on Conroe). The vast majority were very good people and respectful. The only exception to that I would say was Jacob Wheeler.

I met Mr. Wheeler at the Classic Expo in Houston. He was polite. Not very talkative, but I probably wouldn't be either if I didn't make the cut and just wanted to be on the water. He was playing with a new soft plastic in one of the small tanks and showed me how he liked using it to imitate goby fish in northern lakes. Took a picture with me and we were on our way.

Saw him take off about 75 feet early in a no wake during practice.. he yelled at me that I was in his spot (was pretty much fishing in front of my house), ran on plane close to my boat did a 180 then cut me off.
