Fished Navarro Mills Tuesday February 5th. Beautiful warm day, light wind but bite was almost nonexistence, 2 keepers out of only 5 bites. Back on NM yesterday for an hour with O bites. Lake and water in great shape. Several warm days followed by several cold days not helping Crappie fishing. Well, its too early anyway.

Thanks Doyle. You will always be my hero, and a hero to many other people, including the Lions Club (who have for decades depended on your crappie catching abilities!) .I hope I will be able to carry on the tradition you set, but I fear Keith will always beat me to that punch...he has spent almost as much time putting out brushpiles and chasing crappie on NM as you have. Thanks for chiming in, I for one, consider you a consummate Crappie Master! BTW, I appreciate the heads up!
