Not a good one. Have been fishing the marina slips and last couple of outings have resulted in NO bites. Used everything from hand tied jigs to traditional rubber. All colors. Water is still a little murky so I've been using darker colors (think black/chartreuse or brown) with 1/8oz pink jig heads. All depths tried. From bottom to just under the dock floats. No bait fish, no perch, no life in the slips I've been fishing. Haven't tried minnows.

Sounds like Grapevine LOL. Give it some time. The lake is just now settling after being high with the gates open all winter. It should be picking up soon.

Sounds like Eagle Mountain as well. Not a bite in over a couple months. Crazy weird. My freezer is empty. Hope it will change in a month.

Gvine turns over in October like most lakes and is fully in its winter mode. Gvine is also typically one of the last lakes to get going. I usually start doing good in March in the slips when I had them.

GV has been horrible since the flood couple years ago, it was so much better in the slip when water was low, I used to catch them all the time but now I am lucky to have some thumps.

My slip is in the Twin Coves marina. They have relocated and moved a bunch of dock sections and I can only imagine many of the hanging brush piles are getting lost during the move. Some of the slips that were in say 15ft of water are now out in 25+ so that probably affects the fish too. I can tell when the bite is happening when I see 3-4 people fishing but the last two months I haven't seen a single person.

Try to find a creek to get in and go as far as you can in it. Look for tree tops laid over and dead stick them they are there but further in creek. Look for mid 50 temp and pound anything laid over. Don’t forget to try in the middle of that creek. Go get em.

Don't believe everything you hear and half of what you see . Living for the Thump !!
