I am heading to the Colorado bend and will be staying at Barefoot. I was looking at google maps and the river distance from barefoot to the state park is about 6 miles. Has anyone ever done this in a kayak and is it doable? I am looking to hit some white bass on the way so tips for that are appreciated as it will as it will be my first time going there. I am booked for the first weekend in March.

It would be a long float. And even when the whites are running the best, they won't be up river from Sulphur Springs. If they are some, there won't be many.
The views will be awesome and it will be peaceful but it will be a long day on the water.
Like another poster said, I would start at the state park and paddle up if you want to catch lots of fish.

I paddled that section a couple of times during a stay at the state park several years back. I didn't do much fishing but it was a pleasant paddle at 400-600 cfs at the Hwy 190 gauge. I passed some guys wade fishing at a pool drop on one of the days and they seemed to be doing very well with the catfish.

Just curious, does anyone regularly float this section of the lower Colorado? A search here takes you mostly to the bank fishing forum. Seems to be the almost perfect setup for a 2-4 day trip between Hwy 190 and the state park and day trips from the upstream camps. Almost because there is no shuttle service that I am aware of. I hooked up with a park visitor to shuttle from Sulphur Springs Camp around 2011ish (planned the park trip around good water which was rare during those days) and paddled it twice. I tossed some of the stuff that works in the Brazos but didn't catch anything. The scenery was outstanding. There was a fair amount of residential development along that stretch but seemed to be mostly weekend places. I remember there being plenty of rocks to camp on.

Anyway, the Colorado in general and, particularly, the Hwy 190 to State Park run remains on my to-do list. Just need a shuttle partner with no other place to be that can/will go on a moment's notice when the water is good. Or just the shuttle from the park from some enterprising person.
