Thinking about a trip to Twok next weekend. Anywhere to buy fresh or freshly frozen bait for blues? Or any tips on catching bait this time of year? Thanks in advance.

The bait store on the west side of two mile bridge has had a cooler of shad on ice for the last few weeks. Back around Christmas there were good large gizzards, three to a gallon ziploc bag. Last time I went a couple weeks ago the gizzards were smaller, more like 5 to 6 a bag but still OK. Might want to call ahead to make sure they've got some but stock seems to be pretty consistent.

Sometimes the Fish N Store a mile up 513 (on the east side of the bridge) has frozen shad as well.
