Yes sir, it certainly is (or my version anyway). Jigum was instrumental in helping me and encouraging me to get into tying jigs. One of the last text messages I got from him told me to feel free to use any of his patterns. He was a great man. I am going to be able to fish the tournament honoring Jigum in April. I put together a tournament prize which includes some original Jigum Jigs that I have had for years.

Thank you Part Timer. It has definitely been an honor to keep Matthew's spirit alive in this venture for sure!

Lots of good choices in this thread..Greasebath jig always works for me, on a hair jig, as does Tboxes options (but just one color limits choice too much on his stuff) I am just happy I don’t have to limit myself to just one choice, as different lakes seem to have preferred colors...nice thread though.

Chris, Jigum really tied some nice Jigs. Nice to see you keeping some of his patterns alive. Hope to make tournament myself. Had the honor of spending a year with Matthew before he passed. He had moved to Austin area to stay with his brother. Found out we were neighbors and was living across the street from me. How is that for coincidence. He told some good stories. Miss him. Anyway, would like to hook up at tourney and say hello if we both make it.

This has turned out to be a really nice jig for me. Have seen several variations of it. My variation of one of Skips' jig... with permission of course.

He sure was a character! Hopefully you'll make tournament and we can meet in person.
