Recently had my 24 Raker reworked. They added some cup to it. I have no bow lift on plane now, but I can throw a mean rooster tail now lol. I can't get her fully up on pad. Also the hole shot is slow now. Before rework, hole shot was great and bow lift on plane was as much as I could handle till she started walking getting up on pad. Also never threw a rooster tail before rework. Boat is an 89 Ranger 364V w/ 88 GT150 and a 6" rapid jack w/ prop at or a little less than 3.5" PTP. Will dropping the motor get some lift back or does it sound like the cup was too much? I can't complain it's like she's on rails now. I'd just like to get some lift back on the nose. Thanks!

I would try dropping the motor some. You did not mention before and after RPMs. Rooster tail and no bow lift sounds like motor is too high.

Post prop work w/ me and a buddy it was 5200 RPM 58 MPH. Note with that nose level it feels like you are looking downhill.
Pre prop work w/ equivalent load and similar nose level would have yielded maybe 4500-4700 RPM 54-55 MPH.
RPM's always increased the more I got the nose up, so I never pushed it to the point of walking with my buddy in the boat. He is scared of speeds over 20MPH and he would freak out if it ever started walking lol. So best I've had it with me alone pre prop work is 62 MPH RPMS unknown but north of 5200 RPM. I had just learned how to counteract the chine walking and was more worried about watching that and what little water I had left to run then the tach. Felt it had more in it and felt I still had trim to go just ran out of water and didn't want to make more runs back and forth and bother the others still fishing. That's when the prop came off to get reworked.

Roster Tail no good for you Danielson. grin Lower motor 1/4 " at a time until roster tail is no higher than top of cowling when trimmed out.

3.5" below pad on that model should be fine.
if lowering 1/4" doesn't help, then the prop is not tuned properly for that boat. might wanna contact whoever worked it and
see if they will re tune it for you.

If you didn't have any real issues before prop work but you do now, then its not the boat and you should take it back to them and explain to them whats going on with it now and they should be able to fine tune it for you.

Just went through the same ordeal. had the edge cleaned up on one and all of sudden it went to blowing out every time the nose broke over getting on plane. he explained that cleaning up and polishing sometimes takes the cup out. Well after taking it back 2 times they finally got it right. It doesn't take much to change alot on these i've found out.

Is the 364 the double step pad? I had a 375V but with a modded 175 Merc. I turned 6200 non-ethanol and good weather. Summer 5900 with one heavy passenger. I don't recall the motor height but rooster tail was right at top of cowling. I was running a Tempest Plus 23 and blueprinted and balanced by Steve. Good water and weather I could hit 64. When the boat was new but broke in I ran a long eared 24 chopper on it and it would run 68. That was before mods. Solid motor mounts took care of my chine walking. I well tuned prop makes a big difference. I had a Laser that I ran for a while. Difference in the Laser was it would lift the bow while the Tempest lifted the whole boat and it actually ran more level at WOT.

It is a double step pad. One thing I noticed on the last run before prop repair was as soon as the starboard dipped and I bumped left and got the walk lined out it went from nose high(like nose close to even with the water line on the opposite bank if not higher) to dead level, so maybe a 6 to 8 inch drop on the nose? But that was when just a tiny bit of trim opened it up. It literally felt like you hit a passing gear on the highway. You felt the acceleration and you could hear the RPM's start climbing again. Felt good and sounded good. I have a week off end of month for fishing so I'll play around a bit with it. If I can get desired results dropping a quarter or half inch that would be awesome. Worse case I'll have him remove the cup. Absolute worse case I'll quit tinkering with things that aren't broke and just run it lol.
