I'm looking to put a overlay map on my elite 7 HDI. I have watched several videos that use SAS.planet and insight to achieve this. The area that I fish the most is Port O'Connor, does anybody have or know of a map that is post Harvey? Google earth is still pre-Harvey and the other map pictures were taken on windy days to where you really cant see the structure until your zoomed in to far to navigate with.

Also, is it about the same processs as the HDS?

Probably the best I have seen is the Navionics mobile app with USA maps. It has several of the larger features like Sunday beach that transformed into Sunday Pass updated. Its not a satellite, its just on the standard mapping. Getting in places like fish pond though are changing weekly with the sand shifting on strong tides. Old news is there isnt a lot of shell outside of the major reefs that are marked in POC, get down to Sea Drift and different story. Mostly hard packed sand and mud on the POC side.

The best Navionics Chart is the West Gulf of Mexico 635p+ It's on the website for $199.00

I took a screen shot of the compatability chart off of their website and your unit is listed. The p+ will have satellite overlays and if you register it also on the website they are really good about updating the files and photos.
