Pete Robbins caught up with Keith Combs ahead of the Lake Conroe Big Bass Classic to get his thoughts and breakdown. Here's the link for anyone interested. Combs - Lake Conroe Preview

Right now the lake offers muddy water. Starting to clear slightly on some areas. Weights will be down significantly unless things get better rapidly. Just got to catch the biggest.

How could you invite some of those light weights compared to Combs? There has to be a back story.

Back in December the Conroe City Council approved $20,000 to help market the event. Since then, I have seen nothing in the local news. Locals that I have talked to do not know the tournament is coming. Only those who participate in fishing forums know the tournament is coming. Do they usually setup vendor booths? Will Championship Sunday be on Conroe or somewhere else?

Duckett said in an interview that anglers on the grounds were not their concern, if you come, thats fine; but you are not what their target market is...They want the advertising $$$, not the fan base.
