I'm looking at adding a tonneau cover to my truck. I'm still undecided between a solid tri-fold type and an ABS one-piece lift up type. Leaning towards the tri-fold for now.
Thinking about getting the BAKFlip G2 or the Gator FX3.

Any one have experience with either of these two?
Or opinions about tonneau covers in general - what works well and what doesn't? Thanks!

I've had the Gator FX3 on now for 3 months. Like it a lot. Very easy install. I purchased here https://www.realtruck.com/gator-fx3-tonneau-cover/R184501P2018Y734MA.html

You can negotiate cost and shipping over the phone with them.

Go with the tri-fold. You will not be disappointed.

Man up. Fight the GOOD fight.

I have a BAKFLIP MX4 on my GMC Canyon. It is the first bed cover I have owned. Now I'll never have another truck without one!!

I have the Undercover going on 5 years and I'm very happy with it.

I recently added a Diamondback hard cover to my pickup. Super heavy duty and very secure.

Any more opinions / reviews on tri-fold tonneau covers? I'm probably going to order something this weekend.

One additional question for those who have purchased the latching style covers: Any concerns with the security of these covers? Would they be difficult to break-in? I suppose anything on a vehicle isn't too difficult to break in to, but I don't want something that is easy to break in to.

When I've stayed in a hotel I would take my rods and reels and loose stuff put it in the truck bed and lock up the under cover and felt secure enough to get a good nights sleep. if a thief wants in it bad enough he could but would have to go to some effort and make a lot of noise and/or trigger the vehicle alarm. Most of them will move on to something easier or more vulnerable.

A real advantage to the bed cover is a thief doesn't know if there's anything in there worth stealing.
I've been real uncomfortable leaving my rods in the bed of the truck, or in the rod holders of my center console. The bed cover should solve that.

Btw, I ordered the Undercover Flex from RealTruck on Monday. It's supposed to be on my porch tomorrow. Can't wait!

BakFlip MX4 highly recommended. Very rigid, good looking, easy install, and great customer support. I've bought three of them for F150 trucks and all have held up great.

+1 on negotiating price.

I do have a used one (1.5 yrs old) that has some hail dings on the panels, but is in great working condition. It's for a 2017 F150 5.5 bed. Insurance replaced it so I just packed it up in the box.
