First video I have seen in the Bluegill Section in a very long time. Saw this in the photo/video section. Was glad to watch in again in the Bluegill Section. Fishing will keep a family together. Enjoyed the video and nicely done.

Very cool. I had a big male Samoyed when I was growing up and that dog loved to go fishing for brook trout in my native CO. Fishing with a dog can be fun.

to the Bluegill Section! Would love to see some more sunfish videos. Spring through fall you will catch some very colorful fish especially during their spawning cycles. Again enjoyed the video.

Side Note: If you keep following the Bluegill section of the forum you will be able to identify all of those fish you are catching. The anglers here are great anglers who are always ready to share their knowledge of the sunfish. Spring and the spawning cycles are the best periods to see the sunfish showing off their colors. I do not target the sunfish but I truly enjoy reading all of the post as well as seeing all of their catches. Keep up posting your videos. Hopefully you will make a few more sunfish videos.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, I am really liking fishing the creeks by my house so ill start posting more pan fish videos here. I have some nice creeks by the house that I haven't really fished. Ill be getting a smaller rod/reel setup, I was having some trouble casting with the rig I was using.

Sunfish tackle is very inexpensive and you can easily buy it any Walmart or Acadamey. I love using the Shakespeare Combo sets. You can get a complete Ultralight Ugly Stick Combo at Acadamey for $40.00. Every now and then you can find them on sale for $30.00. You can buy less expensive combos for under $15.00 that will work just as good. Based on all of your videos I have watched I know you love fishing artificial' s and sunfish love small soft plastics and certain small lures. They are a BLAST to catch on ultralight tackle.



Side Note: For what I could see in your video,looks like Hybrid Green Sunfish,Bluegill,and Longear.

What length rod would be good for small creek fishing? 5'6 or 6'?

I would go with the 5'6" or even a 5'4". Creek fishing is close quarters fishing meaning tight casting areas. I loose a lot of tackle fishing the creeks. That's one thing good about sunfish fishing. Your tackle does not cost all that much. Creek fishing will take it's toll on hooks,sinkers,and floats.
