New Maxxum has problem with Momentary/ Continuous switch. Runs on both settings continuously. The peddle button has no affect what so ever. Can't call Minn kota until Monday. Anyone have any insight or similar experience?

Im sure there is a contact point on the peddle button. It may be stuck. Just a first thought.

Just got off the phone with Minn Kota. You were on the right track. There is a little magnet and metal pin that makes contact when you push the pedal button. It was set too close and not releasing. . Thanks Dwight. I appreciate the response.
