Good to know. I ordered a few finch nasty's from you last year. I'll make sure a few of those make the trip with me!

Now is a good time to start throwing them in the South. Appreciate your business and the article last year!

I couldn't carry on hooks or anything with hooks when I flew down for an El Salto trip a few years ago.

Mexico -
** going down -- no hooks in carry on, no line on reels if you connect / direct flight to your destination line on the reels is OK
** coming back -- no hooks in carry on, no line on your reels if you carry them on. (Mexico agents will have you remove or "confiscate" them.

USA travel -- hooks are OK and line on reels OK in your carry on. if you get a TSA agent that says otherwise they are just being an a$$

No hooks, pliers, knives in carry on...USA or Mexico

Line on spooled reels not any issue anymore...except possibly if you are connecting in Mexico City...then it's just a matter of who you draw at customs.

They used to make you strip reels on your way home from Mazatlan...but no mas. Good luck!

I've gotten to the point where I just pack my terminal tackle in my checked luggage.
Thats what I do when I travel to and from US, Mexico or Canada

Ive had tackle confiscated from my carry-on by security agents and you are NOT going to out debate them on what the regulations are

While catching a flight from DFW to MN St Paul I ask the TSA agent at security about fishing lures in carry on and he said no problem. I will find out tomorrow as I am going to fly home tomorrow.
