Filemaker and ChampionFish joined me from 1130 to 430pm. Found birds working right away at oil well flat and then the boat show. Caught all our fish there in 2 hrs DSing flukes and ARigs suspended on 30ft in 48ft depth.. Did missed a bunch on light taps. Then wind died, birds left, and fish left as well. Went around looking for working birds but nada. Marked fish at few spots but they were not interested. Boated total 17 quality fish with 3 DD's up to 12#. It was a beautiful weather and blessed day for peak January. Amen! Only kept a few for fish tacos. Released the DD's to make more babies and for the next anglers to catch! Good luck guys!

Great job! What area of the lake where you fishing might I ask? I had zero luck Saturday. I guess I don't know Oil Well Flat.

JWC, it's the area just north of the North Island. More on OK side. Lots of boats and birds so you cant miss it lol. If you draw a straight line from the island to the white cross, it's about 1 mile north of the island. That has been the most productive spot for me the past 3 trips. BigT is tuff for me when birds are not working.

We had s great day in Todd’s new Blue Wave. We caught several big fish and lost several big fish. As soon as the wind died the bite died. I have always found that amazing.

Thank you. I was so close but so far from there at one point Saturday morning. Another mile around the bend and we would have been there. That's fishing.

That water looks dirty for Texoma. Or am I wrong? Is the lake still messed up from all the incoming water? I normally take a December trip to the big lake each year. I missed out this year. Just waiting for cleaner water and warmer temps to make a trip.
