I will be heading to Cleburne State Park towards the end of February. I haven't quite mastered fishing a brand new lake to where I can locate fish. I have a kayak and the lake doesn't look very big. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for this lake or what tackle I should take to throw?

May be too early but cleburne use to have big sun fish in it. Might bring some small baits or worms.

Tough lake. Very clear water
End of February, Id fish a drop shot, a spoon, a jerkbait, and a football jig If the wind is blowing, Underspin
If you want to swing for the fences, throw swimbaits

It's very small. Easy to fish. Lots of little fish
