Ok guys,

I bought a Garmin Echomap Plus 93sv, and am about to purchase the Livescope Upgrade. None of it is installed yet. Here's are my questions:

1. Where should I get it all installed? I don't trust anyone I've talked to in Shreveport, they are all HB and Lowrance experts. I want this installed by a good Garmin shop.

2. Who would y'all recommend as far as fine tuning the sonar? most importantly the Livescope, and an on the water tutorial? I don't want to travel any farther than Fork for any of this. But surely you guys know of a guide or someone who runs Garmin, or specializes in set up and teaching.

My application will be 99% for shallow water in less than 8 ft.

Thanks in advance.

Diamond Sports Marine at Lake Fork. They have more experience than anyone I know with Garmin installs. Talk to Fred Barthold

Installation is pretty simple. Took me about 40 minutes from start to finish. Not much fine tuning on LiveScope. About the only thing to mess with is the color palette and set your forward distance to about 60 to 75' manually. You can fine tune it after that while fishing. Just tweaking it to your liking.

I went to Tulsa to get mine installed. They were the most experienced guys I knew of for live scope installation. Im sure there is Diamond Sport will do a good job. If you are on the fence about getting it I do instructional trip where you can see it first hand.

I'm a crappie/bass guide on Sam Rayburn. I use the Garmin Panoptix every day. I have never changed anything except took the grid lines and temp and date off so I can see the screen better. No adjustment needed. Look at some of my videos and look how clear they are.

I have a livescope bowducer assembly to mount livescope transducer on for sale. Allows you to mount separately from trolling motor.

James,
Did you get the Echomap or a larger unit? Where did you mount the transducer?
