I cannot find where it specifically says just how big an aught is. Surely it can't be AWG... According to that a 4/0 hook is 0.460" or 11.7mm in diameter.

Does anyone know? Bonus points if you can throw a caliper on a 3/0, 4/0 and/or a 5/0 hook for me. I'm out of the country and nowhere near a fishing hook.
