I don't find myself in a liquor store very often and when I am its usually just in and out, but while I was in yesterday I passed by the locked glass cabinet with the expensive liquids, Wow!
There was the usual what I would have expected $100 bottles in there but there were also more than I expected multi hundred dollar bottles, then in the center was one bottle, I think it was a Hennassy, that was just under $5000!!!
And this store was not in an affluent area either.

Who buys this kind of liquor?
Is it really that good?

Mr. G's in Plano always had a couple of $10,000 bottles of wine.
And several liquor stores have Louis XIII for several thousand dollars each.

I've paid $300 for a bottle of 21 year old Balvenie once, and I received a 25 year old bottle as a graduation gift - that one was $500.

But I have difficulty with the idea of a bottle of liquor costing several thousand dollars ...

I've had expensive wines and whiskey. My cutoff for telling any difference is around $50 bottle. My taste buds aren't that refined I guess.

Clients regularly buy my buddy 500-600 dollar bottles of tequila. Ive tried a sip and theres not enough salt and lime in Texas to kill the lighter fluid after taste.

most expensive liquor I've had was a $200 bottle of tequila. It was amazingly good sippn tequila. That said I still wouldn't pay that much for a drink.

Coors Light 16oz 12 pack is $12.99 at Krogers and H-E-B. Last weekend it was $9.99 at Krogers. Just saying.

There is nothing wrong with in and out.
