Made a stupid mistake and pulled the trolling motor up while spot lock was on and it took a little chunk out of the glass... pretty new to boats and don�t know how critical it is. Should it be sealed up ASAP?

Not critical at all, just one of those things that pizz you off forever.

Also, It�s hard to tell in the picture but it looks like some sort of black fiber material at the deepest point. Not sure if this is any indication that it was too deep and needs to be sealed.

Run by Boerne Marine and get the number of the guy that does Kens warranty work, he will get it fixed up so you won�t have to worry about it.

What brand & model is it?

Ive done something like this and added a 3m rubber pad to the boat to keep it from happening again.
