Fantastic idea. Are there any maps available for this climb?

I try to go every year, this year we will be there March 5-12. Going to sadona first then down to the Goodyear area. I like that park in Goodyear the best, its more laid back and the easiest to get in and out. We try to hit all the parks before we leave. We play golf in the down time but we usually try make a 1pm game then to a night game if there is one going.

Look at some high resolution photos of Sedona.
Its only a decent trip and thats a stretch unless you can pretend you are recreating that scene in Young Guns where they took peyote and are actually hiking through a canyon.

Enjoy the baseball and some great restaurants that I am sure you can find.

Go get a steak at Durant's. Interesting place. Steak is good. Building is pretty wild. Entrance is famous.

Fantastic idea. Are there any maps available for this climb?

There are two trail heads. One is on the east side the other on the west. I believe the west side trail is significantly more dangerous than the east side. Get there early, as soon as the trail opens if you can. You have to street park and it fills up quick. The hike is completely do-able for a fit adult, people do die though. There are a couple spots where you are walking a ridge that is no more than a few feet wide with massive drops on either side. Not trying to scare you. My wife and I had never climbed a mountain before and successfully climbed this one. You'll see some kids doing it. 6/10 sketchy in spots though. Very much worth it if you like hiking at all.
