Just curious if anyone knows if you can upgrade from panoptix to livescope with just a transducer or will I need the module that comes with livescope? I’m new to the Garmin world so I appreciate the help. I currently run the regular panoptix on a GPSMAP 7610xsv head unit and would like to switch out to livescope.

Call Garmin, give them your model number and they'll let you know. You'll need to update the software for sure. I have a EcoMap 93SV. Installed it two weeks ago and can't wait to try it out. Garmin Support: 1 (888) 442-7646

only the 8600 series will only use just he transducer. With the 7610 you would have to buy the black box also.

Not if you try to buy the Txducer off ebay by itself for 869.00.
You'll need the GLS10 blk box not even the GCM20 box will work.
