Hypothetical Question: If money were no object, what is the first high-end rod and reel combo you'd get for yourself? Some of the absolute best reels I can think of off the top of my head would be things such as he Metanium DC, Steez SV, Lew's Pro-TI, Exsence DC. Among the best rods would be things such as the Loomis NRX, Shimano Conquest, the 13 Archangel, St. Croix Legend Extreme, or the new Dobyns Xtasy. Most of these are items carried by Fun N Sun, but as the head of tackle (and as a fishing enthusiast  ) I'm curious to see what everyone's "Dream Setup" would be.

Some of the many Falcon rod options paired with a Curado or another Shimano. Maybe the new lighweight Revo MGXtreme reel.

Excluding some of the high end japanese gear, I'm becoming partial to NRX rods and Steez reels. Metanium MGL's would get the nod on the Shimano side, but read many reports of gearing issues over time. Megabass makes some nice variants of the Daiwa line as well.

The nicest one I have is an NRX with an Alderbaran, I gotta Alderbaban 50 mgl for Chistmas and plan on putting it on one of the new Dobyns Xtasy rods.
