I cant compare the two, as my BPS100 set is 4 years old and still functioning like new. No need to replace them at all, but if I did, Id gladly shell out another $500+ for a new set.
I use my set a lot. The jacket is only used in pouring rain or windy/cold days. The bibs are used far more often.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

I have never used guidewear but my 100mph suit is phenomenal. Fish Saturday in 30/40 mph winds and dropping temps all day, stayed warm and comfortable all day. Jeans and thermal pants under my bibs, thermal shirt and long sleeve jersey shirt under my parka. Hard to beat the comfort. My suit is about 10 years old.

I own both , You cant go wrong with either . Im a tad more partial to the cabelas guide wear. Not that its a knock against my 100 mph rainwear , but Im a bigger guy, I seem to be able to move around better without binding up in the cabellas. The 100 MPH suite does seem to cover your neck better , I did notice it does deflect wind better on cold morning runs . Both do a great job tho. Coin flip at best.

^^^^^ I have these also. Half the cost and better all around in my opinion. Have fished in 8 degree weather with 20 mph wind and never got cold. Cotton shorts and a t shirt underneath.

I thought the new guidewear is more like Simms. The newer Guidewear Pro suit is more like Simms, ie is the newer Gore Pro material. But the standard Guidewear suit is the standard heavier. warmer Gore fabric, similar to the 100mph suit. There is also the BPS 200mph suit which is on clearance right now as well, although I'm not really sure of the difference. I looked at all recently along with Gill Tournament suit, and briefly looked at HUK and UA as well. Decided on the Simms ProDry suit, which is very highly regarded, and is more expensive that the others but if you search around you can find them on sale pretty easily so the price is a wash. Generally the Gore Pro material (Simms, GW Pro) suits are lighter, cooler suits while the Standard Gore (100mph, GW) are heavier, warmer suits. So part if it depends on locale - in Fl I didn't want or need warmth per se, but if lived in a cooler climate I would prefer the others. The Gill G2, while not gore, is also considered a warmer suit as well. HUK and UA not sure they aren't gore and didn't make the short list so I didn't look at them too much.

Im going on 15 years with the same pair of 100 mph bibs. They are heavily used as I fish year round a couple of days a week. The ONLY draw back to the suit I have is no zipper in the front to pee, but as I understand it the newer versions do have a relief flap. Best investment Ive made gear wise.

Very simalar products in price, quality, weight... Really equal. Im using a pair of Guidewear going on 10-12 years now. I would buy the ones I could get the best deal on. I bought mine 1/2 price on an internet sale. Went to the store, tried different sizes, ordered online from their computers for store pickup and walked out with the same pair I had already tried on.

I agree. My Guidewear suit is about 5 years old now, still doing great. Get which one is on sale and know it's no worse than the other option.
