Thinking about upgrading to a Ulterra auto stow/deploy with i-pilot, 80lb thrust. Not very many reviews out there, but the one thing I have heard is if it jams and has to be manually stowed or deployed it will have to be sent in to be serviced. As convenient as it would be to have the auto deploy/stow since I fish a lot alone it wouldn't be so convenient if it were in the shop all the time. Anyone heard of any issues with the newer ones?

That's not true. There is a procedure for releasing it. It's got the high possibility potential for dropping a screw or nut in the lake... remove the right side plate, pull a lever remove a nut and lift it up.
We've been using one for 2 months every weekend without a single issue.
Early versions had failures, latest ones are fine.

d Good to hear as I plan on upgrading to that unit as soon as a house I have on the market sells.
