Catch and release. The dream - to catch one of every species of Freshwater fish in our great state! If only I can resist Carp...

I fish it a good bit. I can hook up the boat and be at my spot in an hour but there is only one ramp that close open right now.

I fished Friday.. didnt do very good. Caught three. All in the 2.5 lb range. Flipping brush all day, hoping for mr big. Lol I live .5 miles from a ramp but having to drive 20 miles to get to Cassells Boykin. Working out of state so Im not getting out to much. Fixing to get to be home more. Ready to catch some good ones!

I fished Sunday out of Cassells Boykin and fished the north end of the lake. The weather was too cold for my taste (50 degrees and overcast/spitting rain). We didn't get on the water until 9:00am and left at noon. Caught one at 3 1/2 and another at 4 1/2. One on a dark blue lizard with a chartreuse tail and another on a black/blue jig/craw. Fish held in the buck brush in 10-12 ft range. There were two tournaments held out of the ramp that day. Pretty sure had we entered and fished all day, we'd have been in the money as I did feel we established a pattern. Considering this is the first time I've fished the north end in about a year and a half, I felt pretty good about the results. Water was muddy and up about 9ft but that made it to where we could drive anywhere.

about 54-55 degrees most places we fished. Definitely a prespawn pattern
