The post on East Texas weather prompted me to share this. I have a Personal Weather Station (PWS) mounted on a pole above my dock that anyone can access online. I'm in an east-west cove in Enchanted Oaks, out of the wind, so from my station site, I click on other PWS's out on the main lake if I want accurate wind speeds. But I gotta say, if you're not already, you should install the Weather Underground app, and use it to get micro-weather reports on lakes. Folks have these PWS's all over, and more are coming online all the time. There's no cost, outside the PWS.

Here's link to my weather report. The map shows locations of others:

PWS's have come down in price the past few years, and are fairly inexpensive for what you get (rain accumulation is awesome!). Here's mine, $150:

Ex neighbor. I used to live in inchanted oaks. Many years ago. The big A frame a few doors from the old neighborhood pool.
