I'm heading east in a couple of weeks and was wanting some info on Lake Naconiche. Anyone on here fish it regularly. Don't need any spots. Just want to know how it's fishing and the water level. Never been there but it looks to be a good lake for crappie.
Thanks

I use to fish it quiet a bit but haven't been there in about a year. It has some of the prettiest black crappie in it that you'll ever see. The lake is full of timber so grab you an extra hand full of jigs....what the trees don't take the bass will. Wish I could give you a recent report but like I said, I haven't been there in awhile. Good luck to ya!

Thanks bush hog. I've never fished timber for crappie,so it will definitely be a learning experience for me. I saw on TPWD page that there are a couple of fish structures, so I'll be hitting those for sure.

If you go up the creeks be careful about bumping any trees. Most of the rotten ones have fallen but there still might be a few looking for just the right boat. Don't know if you are staying on the lake but night fishing is usually good under the power lines that run across the main body.

I've caught some nice crappie under the bridge. But it's hit and miss. What I did bring home were 11-15 inches, full of eggs.
