I'm worn out changing my passwords. Can't they find a way to keep our information secure?

"The largest collection of breached data in history has been discovered, comprising more than 770m email addresses and passwords posted to a popular hacking forum in mid-December.

The 87GB data dump was discovered by the security researcher Troy Hunt, who runs the Have I Been Pwned breach-notification service. Hunt, who called the upload Collection #1, said it was probably made up of many different individual data breaches from literally thousands of different sources, rather than representing a single hack of a very large service."

It's getting to the point now that everyone should just freeze their credit at transunion, experia, and equifax.

I did so last year, and am seriously considering freezing my childrens' credit, and they don't even have credit cards yet.

It's a beating to temporarily unfreeze when selecting a new energy provider or when applying for a loan, etc; but, this is the world we live in.

If I owned a bar Id name it The Dark Web Lounge, and thered be a small section reserved for people to sit and discuss hacking.

Now i think I may know what caused my email password problems that started last week.
I stared following the links in that article above but I got overwhelmed pretty quick so maybe someone smarter than me can answer:

Are any of the various one-stop password managers safe to use?

Is it safe to put my email address into that search engine on this Troy Hunt guy's site https://haveibeenpwned.com/ to see if I was one of the 770m email addresses and passwords (now changed) that were dumped out there into the world?

This stuff overwhelms me pretty quick.
