I use both 100% floro and the coated. Since I started tying the Gerald Swindle knot I have had almost no line fails.

That's also known as the Shark Knot, or Zona Knot. Although Zona goes 4 times vs 7. Good Knot, pretty much all I use for Fluoro anymore. This and the Shin Fukae for braid to leader have replaced the Palomar and uni/alberto-type knots for me across the board. Quick and easy to tie. I have tried the FG, too much trouble imo especially with smaller lines. On your couch it's not too bad, on the water it's a pita.

If you'll do your own "break test", you may find that neither of those is the strongest available.

Use to use seagar until I tried sunline

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip!

I've used them all... None better than Berkley 100% Fluorocarbon. It's all I buy anymore. I can almost never get my line to break when I'm hung up. I can pull my 21' boat with 15lb test and still won't break and never any issues casting.

I use seagur red label with plenty of line conditioner. Rarely if ever break off. 12, 15, 20lb mostly. It's cheap enough to respool often I feel I need to
