I’m drawing the line this weekend.
Post front, 30’s with single digit wind chill, high winds, muddy lakes with 1” visibility, 50% chance of rain.... I am not that mad at the fish! Close, but not enough to torture myself and a Co-angler.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

I don't fish on the weekends, period. I worked real hard so I could fish through the week. But, and it's a big butt, if I had that red/silver/black Phoenix I was leaning on at Fun & Sun Sadady I might go. It was that beautiful. wowza

20 and Lightning. These shallow Florida lakes really get rough in low to mid double digits. With Florida being the Lightning Capital of the World no further explanation is needed.

20+ wind isn't my idea of fun but if it isn't freezing I'll deal with it Fishing below 40 deg isn't fun unless I'm still catching them Putting a few in boat always helps to forget the conditions But 20 mph wind and 30deg after a couple hrs and no luck I'm done

I will go whenever as long as if it's real bad I can go safely. I'm not going to launch at the public on Rayburn in a 30mph north wind and run to the bridge. But I will for sure launch somewhere else and give it shot

If I can fish where I want to and be safe is all that matters to me.

Agree with 30+ sustained winds. Cold weather, on the other hand, I've proven to be rather silly, if it's safe traveling. We fish a lot, of North Texas in 20- 30 degrees. Last year's cold front that hit Toledo Bend/ Rayburn area, had us fishin' the TxTT in 19-26 degrees, had to dip rods every 3 casts to get the snowcones off, until 10:30 or so. Also, we've launched at Squaw Creek numerous times under 20 degrees, you have to drain the trailer down ramp, to keep freezing to a minimum.

I find some of these pretty cute... I wade saltwater down here in Galveston in 20 degrees all day...
