We played the Well Coffee Lounge in Royse City, Tx. last Friday night. Great food there by the way and they sell wine and beer there too. Anyway, not ready for prime time I know, but we had fun. Our bass player was out taking care of an ill brother. We threw a Merle song in the mix.

A fiddle and a steel and you're prime time podnah, good job.

I recorded this with my HD Panasonic video cam on a tripod on a nearby table which I just hit the record and let it run for the two sets of 12 songs that we did that night from7:30 to 9:30. The restaurant Manager requested that we were to be just background for the folks in there eating, drinking, talking and playing games. So we had to keep it soft. I would have got more true audio if I had tapped into the mixer to the camera mic input. Our bass player is going to be pizzed that we got $75 to split from the tips and 15% of the take. hahahahaha

We have a good steel player at church who used to play for Ray Price but the youngun's in the band and choir don't appreciate steel music.

We had a steel player for a few months. He lives in plano. He was pretty good, but the steel doesnt work with all of our songs. You are correct too about "good" fiddle players. Hard to find.
