Next weekend setx high school kicks off there season. Looks like going be same weather conditions wonder if they're going to postpone there's.

Doubt it but if lake continues it's rise it'll get scary trying to get under bridge safely

I have been up there all weekend and yesterday evening at weigh in there was 3 footers in the boat ramp at Umphrey. I didn�t go over this morning but did ride up to Powell park. The ramp and store is still open however the lake is in the parking lot and if you don�t no where the ramp is it could be bad. Jackson hill is still open but you are launching in the turnaround at the bottom. You can not see the actual boat lanes. Cassel boytkins is open the new ramp is usable but on the original side the water is in the parking spots. Just looking from the bridge you can probably get under if it was slightly choppy but with 3-4 footers would be very sketchy. Lot of talk from locals that the corp of eng. is possible closing all ramps this week when lake reaches 10 ft. This is just rumor so please don�t be shooting this messenger.

Surely they would let a little water out before closing everything. Would give the fish a rest but would hurt the economy worse than the drought

I think everything is full/saturated below Rayburn as to why they're holding back. When it comes down to it, the lake is doing just what it was built for, flood control down river.

I was over at Rayburn today. Strong north wind until mid afternoon. The bridge isn't an issue if you go to what ever side the wind is blowing off of. It was an ENE wind today. I've been over there alot lately and can catch em when the winds been out of the south or west, but this north wind shuts them down. I bet weights drop a little tomorrow; except for the guys fishing deep.

At this level it's up lower neches river authority downstream. The neches is full at dam b. No where for rayburns water to go at the moment.

Well I can report that the Angelina River on Hwy 59N (between Lufkin and Nacogdoches) has receded quite a bit.

I would guess close to a couple feet. You can almost see the parking lot under the bridge.

Sketchy with waves would be correct. Possibly impassable with Blades/Talons and the waves.
