I'm fishing Lake Bardwell this Saturday. I wnated to see if anyone has any ideas on where to start. I have never been on the lake before.

Their is fish their, just no structure, it's kind of like a mud hole that filled up with water. I had set some brush piles out a year and half ago and fished that lake several times, again caught a few fish not alot of numbers though, I now just fish RC or CC. Now I also fish one of the feeder creeks off bardwell in the winter and spring and done pretty well. I don't have the cordnates on the B/P but I probably could get you in the right direction, we set out about 13 of them in one spot.

Bardwell is a great little lake with plenty to offer. Here are some options:

The marina - worm or crank the stalls and surrounding shoreline. Topwater early.

Main lake point - Carolina Rig.

Dam / Rip Rap - topwater early followed up with a worm or crankbait.

Boat ramps - topwater early followed up with a worm or crankbait

I wish I was going with you as this lake has proven to be a top producer for the BBFT. Many competitors reported 15-50 fish mornings with two winning big bass at over 6 pounds. E-mail me for more info if I can help.

Didn't you know a Ranger full of holes won't sink.....I herd a Bass Cat would smile
