He can always go back and play baseball. Hell they let Tim Tebow try.

Among other things, there is only one Bo Jackson. And there will not be another one in our lifetimes.

In your world do NFL draft picks play for free?

his world-view might be different if KM was coming off a 12-2 Heisman season at aTm, lol
grin

In the last 20 years or so, winning a Heisman doesnt exactly translate to a great NFL career for QBs.

He might not have a good or long career, but to pass up that money, to ride a bus and live in hotels for 3-4 years, in hopes of making it to the majors would be crazy. Im not kryler fan by any means just FYI.

One of the reasons he is so good in college is his ability to run and in the nfl the players are bigger faster and meaner than the big zoo for sure. All the rules to protect a qb go out the window when he becomes a runner. I just dont think he can survive a 16 game season with his frame.

The fear among most, and I would include scouts and owners, is whether he could hold up under the beating he would get from full grown men like Khalil Mack, Von Miller and Aaron Donald. As far as him going in the 1st round as even a punt returner is silly. If he's after a long career baseball is the only thing that makes sense. His first football contract would more than likely be his last.

Let’s see, risk injury for no pay or risk injury for $30 mil......

No he would be paid something but not 30 million as you so generously predicted. If he gets drafted it will be somewhere in the 4th-5th round like Prescott. To be frank, not Frank, I really could care less who, what or where he plays as long as it's not the Cowboys. Let Kingsbury have him and try to keep him upright.

He's going to play both sports, and he's going to be a quarterback. And be filthy rich from all the endorsements whether he has a long career in either sport or not. I don't know what some of you have been watching but he's NOT a "running" quarterback. He just so happens to be faster than anyone else on the field and runs away from defenders when his recievers are not open. The guy can make every throw. And the guys playing offensive and defensive lines in college now are just as tall as the pros, tbey don't miraculously get taller after college. Everyone was saying the exact same thing about Mayfield last year. Wait until he gets to a combine and listen to the numbers he puts up and the buzz he causes.

If he slots as a 1st round NFL pick, he should take that instant money....he can always go play baseball if he fails and if he's smart, he'll have millions saved away to try...

I don't know the kid at all, but that's a logical way to go... Take the money, get your [censored] you money saved, and do what you want...

So ?????? What are you after ? I don't agree with you and won't. McShay and the rest can tweet until draft day but neither have drafted anybody. Let's wait and see how it plays out. Nothing matters until if and when he gets drafted, what round and by who. Remember John Elway and Ely Manning ? I don't really give a rats arse what he play or where as long as it's not with the Cowboys or Rangers. I don't like short people and he's short.
