Took my Father In-Law to Conroe today and I didn't have confidence with the calm blue bird day. We launched around 10 am to hit the major feed time forecast. About the time we got the rods and planer boards out one took off. He landed a nice 21 pounder to get us started . A little later after a 9 and 11 pounder his outside board took off again. He fought him from one side of the boat past the other rods to the other side. He handled it just fine and after several runs I netted the 63 pounder with a massive head.
We added a couple more around 10 lbs before I ended up catching a 35 pounder . All fish caught on cut carp and released .
Just goes to show you fish when you can because you never know.

Great to see things are working out very good for you and the new boat. Bet you moved up a notch or three in the Father by law's eyes. Thats a big blue in anyones opinion.

That's honing your chops right nice Dewayne, you have been working with intent and focus on getting drift fishing for trophy blue cats down for as long as I have known you.
And you get better every year. And this monster was proof, what a big ole blue cat. The others would have made a good day, but the pig made it day to remember!
