Lake Waco is shut down and I'm needing a new place to fish. Where's a good ramp to put my boat in? Is it safe to run? Also, I'm not looking for honey holes or secret spots, but any fishing info would be greatly appreciated.

Caney creek public ramp off of 198 is a good ramp, water will be clearer down there and fish should bite anything from worms to traps.

Lake is a couple inches above full pool. Shouldn't have any trouble running anywhere except in the back of creek arms, BUT watch out for "floaters"! With all the rain and wind we had the last couple of weeks there might be a lot of branches, lumber, etc, just be careful. Spinnerbaits around docks is always a good bet

198 ramp for sure.

Start fishing right there at the bridge. Southeast end of the lake, fishing coves and docks, would be my next move.

That's pretty much it, put in at 198 and start fishing docks and the bank
