Looking for recommendations on rain gear that also helps keep you warm. Have looked at several diffferent options but can�t decide. What are yalls go to?

H2O Express bibs & jacket from a Academy
Bone dry, warm, good zippers, neoprene cuffs, under $150......what else you need?

Generally speaking, I think you get what you pay for. So if you break down and buy the high-dollar Simms or Huk, I'm sure they will do fine. However I also think you can buy the cheaper stuff (Academy Brand, Frabill, Bass pro brand etc) non-insulated rain gear one size bigger than you typically wear and layer up underneath it.

Bass Pros 100 MPH gear has worked really for me the last 8 years or so. During the summer it can be too hot but I find during the colder months I rarely have to wear much under it.

I've had Bass Pro 100 MPG gear for over 10 years and it's still in great shape. It was around $600 when I bought it. I wouldn't exactly call it "cheaper stuff."

I think if you buy Huk you are also required to purchase a flat bill and some white Oakleys.

I'm going on 15 years with the same pair of 100 mph suit bibs, I stay as dry and windproof today as I did on day 1. I cant speak for the other suits out there, never had to try anything else after my purchase in 2004.

I am on my second pair of H2Os and I think it�s just time to bite the bullet and buy something that lasts. I have been looking at the BP 100s and am leaning more that way. Thanks for the replies!

About 15 years on mine also. Dang sure wasn't cheap.

Guess I didn't realize 100 MPH gear was the only rain gear Bass Pro made....lol
They make several different suits in different price ranges. The Bone-dry or Tourney Special are both made by Bass pro and are around $200 for a set....

If you were to have said "My 250 HP Yamaha is faster than a Mercury" we would not have assumed you were talking about a 150 HP Mercury.

Well that's enough TFF for me for the day.

Bass pro had came out with a 200MPH set last year and maybe it didn't do so well as it's on sale right now for less than the 100MPH stuff!!

Cabela�s Guidwear. Bought on internet sale. 1/2 price. Tried them on at the store to be sure of fit, ordered it online from their computer and picked up the same ones I had tried on because of �store pickup� for 1/2 the price off the racks. 10 years ago and still one of the best upgrades for myself after 20 years of freezing my rear off every winter bundled up in a snowmobile suit and looking like the kid on The Christmas Story. �Game Changer�.....well great investment anyway.
