Anyone have some information on some fun fishing to do there? Maybe in the Sarasota Bay? I'm a fresh water fisherman, so anything will help
Thanks

Fun fishing for me in Fl is snook at nite. Docks - resturants - bridge fenders on the ICW all have lites which draw the baitfish and the snook will be lookin for the easy snack. Around the Venice inlet is fantastic on an incoming tide. Small white jigs or for me streamers on the flyrod is fast action as the water boils. It is all kayak friendly with no wake. Be aware of the red tide issues.

Sarasota got hit hard with red tide this year. Not sure about the fishing inshore now but was down there fishing years ago when there was another outbreak that was devastating to the inshore fishing for years. Might want to visit the Mote Marine Aquarium while you're there if you haven't been there before. The further south you go the better the fishing should be. https://mote.org/aquarium/exhibits
