I am deer hunting until Christmas so here is a detailed report. Water was starting to clear before todays rains. Fish last Tuesaday were crazy around State Park, Cedar Creek Area on Chart swimbaits and dead sticking flukes. Four boats caught 40 stripers, a bucket of Sandbass and four nice Bluecats. My personal preference is a smaller fluke on a one once short jig. Phillip at RSR can hook up with those.
Birds are working on top of loons and fish. Theres plenty of fish but there moving fast. Fish chased the bait up shallow several times. Fish the swimbait when they do.
I havent fished much because of muddy water and deer hunting. I was pleasantly surprised to find PK Stripers going about there winter time business as usual .

Thanks for the report. I was hoping to get down there next weekend, but will have to see how much rain we get.

Bucktail with trailer will be as productive as any other combo when shallow, skirt flair when paused is deadly.

Nice update. Glad to see all the stripers didn't escape down the river. I'm sure the ones that did are quite full of rainbow trout right now though.

Pull them out of the trees, wind blown coves next to deep water and creek beds.

Randy not to hijack the thread; but, I have been doing a little boat shopping and have looked at Sportsman. What model do you have and how do you like it? Pros and Cons?

Hard to believe randy just told you to follow him around. Good plan if you can find him. I bet he knows where the fish are.

I love my Sportman onshore and offshore. Magic Tilt Traiker not so great. This is my second one. Loved the first one so much I bought a second one. Mine is a 247 with 250 sho. Not many birds working today were I fished. Caught both sand as and stripers in Cedar creek fishing RSR short shank deadsticking jigs with small white ice flukes dyed chartreuse. Sand Bass were magnums!
