I have been out of the catfishing game for awhile. I am wanting to take my boys out bank fishing for some blues. The closest lake to me is Arrowhead but don't mind driving. So what do I need to look for this time of year? Any help is appreciated.

Arrowhead is a really good one. If you have bank access there to a wind blown point I would try it

Put some rods out Far, some intermediate and some close to shore........ if the Wind is to your back or a cross wind you could balloon a cpl way out........

I fish Arrowhead regularly there are a few good spots to try out. West Side boat ramp, Pawnee point, deer creek bridge area along with 2nd bridge. Don't over look any of the points inside of the state park. Also there are 3 guides on the lake Brandon Brown is the only full time guide and comes highly recommended you will get the full experience with him as well as Greg pair. Scott Howard guides out there as well part time and is a bare bones this meaning no cleaning of fish for the customer. Bait had been tough lately. Scott Howard uses nothing but Danny kings suki bait and have been doing real good shallow on it.

I like more main lake stuff this time of year near the Dam. Good to get that bait in deeper than 30 feet deep where I fish.

Have not had time to get out yet. Thought I was going to make it but between work and our completely crazy lives I have not made it yet.

Growing up we used to kill the catfish up at Lake Kickapoo. Little lake that doesn't get a lot of pressure, but has one of the best catfish populations I have ever seen.
Quite a bit bank access up there as well.
