There are a couple of changes starting Jan 1st. The Website was updated today so to avoid a few phone calls I thought I would post here.
The discount for Hood and Somervell counties went away. The current plan is $30 in winter and $20 in summer for all. Not sure when the summer dates are yet. Will post when I find out.
The reason for the drivers license was to prove where you lived and you were that person. Since that is no longer an issue the box on registration was changed to "Tow Vhcl Lic Plate #" . Please use a format of State then number with space between(ex. "TX 123456") . This should speed things up as those of you who pull up too far and do not know your number will not have to run back out to front of truck. If you do not know for sure the plate number when you make the reservation just use "TX" and they will write the rest down when you arrive. Auto fill on my computer fills in email in both places. I have seen enough of the sheets to know many people do not change what google suggested which just slow down things. Please check that it is your license plate number.
If you use the format for the "Cel Phone:" of 254-897-XXXX it looks much cleaner on the sheet. Web guy kept it simple so it will take it with just numbers also.
Just trying to help Teresa and the guys get people in faster. If you have a real and serious suggestion please add to thread and I will pass them along.

Also January 26th is blocked for the Team Trail Outdoors tournament. Last year they had 120 boats and two other clubs had tournaments on same day. Ended up with 165 boats on the lake. With the growth of the trail and the higher payouts for this year they were able guarantee enough spots to to booked the park just for the participants of the tournament. If you would like to fish on Squaw that day you will need to sign up with them. Team Trail Outdoors

What is so special about this Squaw Creek that everyone keeps talking about? When I google, a ski resort pops up...

Very nice. Thanks for the heads-up. Last years Team Trail Outdoors tournament is the only time I've been on it. Fun little lake.
Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

Thanks!
Quick question: What if you've already made reservations for January? Do you need to make a new one following the new rules?

I just make a reservation for tomorrow and in the place to put the tow vehicle plate number, it would not let me put the whole thing like suggested. I got to TX XXX X and then it would not let me type the remaining 3 digits in the field. So I left off the TX and it all fit. Not sure if I was doing anything wrong or there is not enough spaces in the field to put TX and the 7 digit plate number.

Would be nice to see it like it was in 1998.. But dont think that with the hot water now. It will never happen.

So I should have counted the blanks. I had looked at reservations that had been made since update. Some had TX before, some after and some just numbers. So 8 digits is what fits. If you have room add TX if not just numbers. I will request a state box be added to it and then can just use numbers for other box.

Quick question: What if you've already made reservations for January? Do you need to make a new one following the new rules? There will be a few weeks of a mix of drivers license and license plates on the sheet they print out. No need to make a second reservation. Just give them your plate info when you pay. They still have a number of people show up without reservation. Once again just slows it down to hand write everything. Two minutes a boat adds up when there are 150 of them.

It's a Private Lake, they can do whatever they want So can not help you on a slot limit. CPNPP does control access to the lake because the NRC requires them too for evacuation purposes. The lake itself is still considered waters of the state. Sizes and limits are set by TPWD. Game Wardens frequent the lake to enforce state rules. Lake falls under the Waco office who do the surveys and genetic testing. Link to latest survey report. TPWD Squaw Creek Waco office did ask about adding Redfish a few years ago. They decided to wait and see what happens with the Tilapia infestation first.
