Stay off the banks south of the ramp. Be careful running up into coves.

How bad does the south wind affect the lake?

There will be plenty of boats Out there to show you the lane to run tword the river if thats where u wanna go. Pretty clear going south, some long points just give them a wide berth. This little lake will surprise you with how big the rollers can get when the wind gets up.

Thanks for the information, all. We had a great day on the water and fished south.

Two questions I still have:
1. Can I run from the ramp to the north side of the island?
2. How far noth can I run towards the river safely?

Dont bet the farm on this map, but it basically shows you the easy places to run. Use this with some common sense and you'll be fine. Headed up the river where it goes red all the way across there is a lane but its specific, idle from there.... not a very far idle from there all the way to the actual "river" or anything else you want to fish up that way. As before mentioned be careful running into coves.

I cant remember which of those two red coves you have marked on the lower right I found myself in a couple years ago, but. Luckily we were just idling out, somewhere in the middle (which would have seemed safe) I quickly realized we were in the middle of some HUGE tree tops. I am talking wood that was 18-24" wide.
