I still love fishing Fork to this day but boy do I feel blessed that I spent all of the 90's fishing it. So many memories and even heartbreaks that I will never stop reliving.

Fork will be fine. It's just been a brutal Fall/early winter on all of the North Texas lakes (power plant lakes excluded). An early winter, huge fall rains, massive shad populations on most lakes have made things difficult. Fork gets a massive stocking of bass every year without exception. The numbers and quality will continue at Fork. I do worry about the future of lakes like Tawakoni, Richland Chambers, Ray Roberts, etc. These lakes have all fished really good the last few years but are getting more tournaments and pressure every year. However their stocking numbers from TP&W is minimal compared to the more popular bass lakes. At some point the added pressure and minimal stocking has to take a toll on these lakes.

Fork is just fine. Here's the 1 thing nobody has mentioned about this year. THE WEATHER! It has been a roller coaster year, and Fork is stocked with the stingiest fish in the world. They can lock up just as fast as they can turn on.

Most of the guides are going to Welsh cause you can catch them pretty easy over there. And they have clients that want to catch fish, and they have to make a living. I'd do the same thing if I were a guide out there now.

As said above, we had been averaging almost 30-50 fish a day up to about October, and it started to decline. Even had a day in November where we threw up the big "0"!!!!! But all the fish we caught this year looked good and healthy.
