Very disappointed! Drove 1 1/2 hour round trip to go to the seminar and it was cancelled. No post that it was being cancelled. I even sent a PM to TarponFly to confirm it was still on with no response. Maybe that should have been my first clue.

There were at least another half dozen people I saw there waiting. One said other people had already left. What's the old saying, "Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me". I won't get suckered a second time.

Check Carrey Thorn's Face Book page . I contacted him because I also drove into Cabela's . His response is that he thought he had canceled on TFF . With him being a family man , business man , and everyone constantly pulling him in different directions during the holiday season , I am not holding this against him . He has always been awesome to me and others I know when I have encountered him out on the lakes and river banks . He constantly gives us all free advice and shares good fishing locations with us when he does not have too .
I hated the traffic and crowds at Cabela's as much as everyone else , But I don't feel I have been burned now that I see his face book post for the cancellation is over 20 hrs old , Now I will pay closer attention to his social media page for better updates .
I hired Carrey for a Crappie fishing trip on my Son's birthday a few yrs ago and he is hands down one of the best , he shares knowledge , and makes sure you have a good time .
The best Guide experience I have ever had out of maybe 30+ Guided fishing trips over the years .

He did post in the stripers hybrid sand bass section that the seminar was cancelled.
