I know that Grandpa spent most of his days in the off topic forum. I also know that he enjoyed coming into the Bunker to stir things up. I have been posting this information in the Off Topic section and thought I also needed to post it here for those that may not have seen it in the normal off topic section. If I need to remove this, please let me know. Thank you.

t is with a heavy heart and sadness that I am posting this for my dad, Charlie aka Grandpa75672. He was admitted Tuesday, November 20 to Greenville Regional Hospital and is now at Medical City Dallas. He will not be coming home from the hospital this time. I will post in here when arrangements have been made for his service. I would like to let you know that he truly enjoyed every minute that he spent stirring up anything and everything he could on this site. This group of people are some of the funniest and he always was looking for ways to cause a fuss. This group was his outlet for all of the things he could not say to his family. I just want to say thank you for all you gave him for so many years.

Edit as of Nov. 23, When I posted the first message, the Drs. did not think Grandpa was going to make it through the night. He is not lucid nor is he able to do any more then sleep or he wakens just enough to say take me home which is not possible. Due to this turn of events, My sister and I are now having to make the extremely hard decision of having hospice brought in to help us care for him. Thank you all for every thought and prayer that you have given and lifted.
I will update any changes when I can.

Edit as of Nov. 27, Grandpa has been moved to Greenville to a nursing home where he is under the care of hospice and is being given comfort care. The Dr. is saying that Grandpa will probably not make it to the weekend. He is not lucid at all however, he is calm and resting. Thank you for all of your support. We know that he will be buried in Marshall, Texas with a graveside service. We will be having a visitation before the service. I will keep you up to date on all of the arrangements.
Again, thank you for all of your support and prayers in during this difficult time. Our family is grateful for everything that you have given our father for all of these years of fun.

Additional edit for Nov. 27: I was not able to view all of your posts before tonight due to the fact that I knew how he felt about all of you. This is one of the hardest things I am having to do because he so enjoyed fussing, cussing and all around messing with the wonderful people in this forum. Your support during this difficult time has been overwhelming and appreciated.
One thing I do know is that if he was lucid to post he would say that the rumors of his death were greatly exaggerated. I so wish that he could do this. Thank you all for everything that you have done through the years.

Update Nov. 28: Went to nursing home today, grandpa is resting peacefully. He is calm and in no pain. The Dr. has informed us that he can pass at anytime. Just want to keep TFF updated. Also I have found so many pictures thanks to ya'll. I have found some I never even knew he took. There are so many of him and buckwheat. Makes my heart swell with love because of this.

Dear TFF friends,
Grandpa75672 (aka Charles Deich) passed peacefully in his sleep on November 29, 2018. He was comfortable and calm.
Thank you for all of your kind words and prayers.
I will post when all arrangements have been completed. There will be a visitation and graveside service in Marshall Texas.
Again, thank you for all that you have meant to our father for so many years.

The Family

PS I know that he and his brother are up in heaven deciding what to do first, fish or hunt. Also buckwheat is being spoiled by all of the loving that he is getting right now.

Update November 29, 2018 5:30 pm

I had the privilege of meeting Grandpas family tonight at the visitation. Good people that loved him very much.
He looked good in his TFF hat with his gold hook on the bill.
Prayers for the family with the funeral on Sunday.

Condolences, I'll miss his posts from the trailer. His posts could be the material for a sitcom. Quite a character.
