Rumor of someone seeing a big name Bass Pro sponsored MLF contestant up the river today.

It wouldn't surprise me at all to see MLF visit lakes like Ray Hubbard. Major metro area with lots of bass fishing fans, Bass Pro Shop store right on the water, plenty of lodging, food, etc. Their field is small. Hubbard hosts tournaments way larger all the time.

had a PAA tourney there several years ago and had a pretty good turnout.

Yes, it was a good turnout; Hubbard was too low and the tournament was moved to Tawakoni. Combs caught a 9+ under a dock and won the tournament. I was in Randy Howell's boat first day; he got stuck on a sand bar coming out of the creek with a great stringer and missed weigh in.
FishAmericaNow (FAN), the TP&WD and HS fishing clubs work together, creating Fishing FANClubs to teach younger kids how to fish. Kids need to fish. www.FishAmericaNow.org

I was an observer for both events. I heard today it was Ott Defoe up there and he was filming something for Minn Kota
