I will be heading that way on the 7th of Dec with my boys and some buddies in tow. We will be staying on the island, in a rental on Bonasse Court rd which has canal frontage. We will be duck hunting in the a.m. on the 8th and 9th with Lone Star Waterfowl. We are super stoked about getting in on some redhead action..... might be old hat for some of you but its a new adventure for us!
My concern is keeping us occupied Friday and Saturday afternoon. We will be bringing a trailer full of kayaks and do some fishing but I don't know where to start. Should we piddle around in the canals, hit the jetty's, the beach, or trailer somewhere to put in. I can be setup to fish for just about anything in short order, I just don't have any experience down there.
We are real flexible and open to different options, I just want to be prepared and provide a good experience for the crew...
Thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Depending on weather and waves of course, I would look to the jetties and surf for bull reds.

If youre fired up to go fishing you didnt hunt hard enough.

Everyone who hunts with me by the time we get done are just wiped out.

I kinda hoping the hunts go well enough to give us a little time to fish. If not then no worries on my end just want to make the most of it.
