Judging by your post in the fresh water reports section, you are fishing Choke Canyon. It is my limited experience that plastics, crankbaits and spinnerbaits do well on that lake. Drag a C-rig or fish a deep diving crankbait
down the creek channel near the grass edge. Depending on the weather is how I would decide how to target that area that you say is holding fish.

With that said, I always have better luck on that lake when I find hard bottoms.
